|Homemade Buffalo Chicken Wings|
Quick Monday recipe here,
The other night, I had some friends over for the Miami Heat game (which, I am still recovering from our lost to the San Antonio Spurs) but I digress, I decided to make buffalo-styled chicken wings, lemon-pepper chicken wings, and regular wings. Hey, I like variety. So here is my simple recipe for these three homestyle favorites:
12 chicken wings
Oil (I used olive oil, you are free to use a frying type of oil but the olive oil worked just fine)
Goya Powdered Chicken Flavored Bouillon
Frank's Red Hot Sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
In a bowl toss your chicken wings in a mix of two tablespoon of olive oil. Then add a light coating of flour, and sprinkle one pack of the Goya Bouillon over the wings, and toss well so the wings are well covered. Cover the bowl and let it sit for five minutes. In a deep-fried non stick pan, add your oil over medium to high heat. Add enough oil to cover 90% of each wing, Now, you can start adding your flour/oil soaked wing to the hot oil and let it fry, do not over fry. In a another bowl, pour your hot sauce, (and that's what I like about Frank's sauce, I don't have to add anything else to it), and coat each fried wings until well covered with sauce. voila!
For regular wings, repeat every step except for the hot sauce part.
lemon-peppered wings, I baked them instead of frying (not a big fan of too much fried food). Lightly coat a baking pan, preheat your oven at 425 degrees F. In a bowl, toss your wings, Goya Bouillon, and lemon pepper seasoning, squeeze two lemons over the wings, sprinkle black pepper, and bake for about 35 minutes, bake longer for a crispier skin, and your are done.
