Last night as I was watching Oprah's Lifeclass, I stumbled on this delicious recipe for a Butterscotch Caramel Coffee, needless to say, I hit the save button fast because I figured you guys would love to try this out, as I plan to.
This recipe came from Amy Locurto of Living Locurto. This is a perfect fall evening after dinner coffee recipe. Even in South Florida, we have a reason to say we are officially in the fall season. We'll just cranked up the AC to make it cold. In any case, here is this delicious recipe and alternatives to it.
What you’ll need:
1 large cup of coffee – about 6 ounces
2 pinches of cinnamon
1 ounce butterscotch schnapps*
1 ounce heavy whipping cream or half and half
1 tablespoon caramel sauce and a bit extra for drizzling on top
Brew the coffee and pour into a mug.
Add 1 pinch of cinnamon, butterscotch schnapps, cream, and caramel sauce and stir.
Add whipped cream on the top, drizzle with caramel sauce and add a pinch of cinnamon before serving.
*For a non-alcohol version, substitute butterscotch syrup for the butterscotch schnapps.
Leave out the cream if you prefer your coffee dark and less sweet.
Stop by her page and let her know that I sent you.
