I wanted to design a Christmas tablescape that was both festive and no fuss, and what I came up with is a silver and red color theme with just enough sparkles. Most of the decorations were brought from Michaels, at discounted prices too. So it is not too late to have that special Christmas dinner or get-together.
I decided to do something special with the dinner napkins. What's more Christmas then some napkins folded into elves shoes. Sitting on a silver charger plate, they will will be the talk of the evening.
I use a martini glass for the centerpiece, filled it with red ornaments and some painted decorations found in the Christmas aisle at Michaels. Actually all the decorations were found at Michaels.
Naughty guest sat at this table (hahaha). I found them at Michaels and the cool thing is on the other side is the word nice. So you get to decide who's been nice and who's been naughty.
The centerpiece is sitting on a round glass mirror with small decorative red ornament balls, Nutcracker guard figurine, and two tall tea-light candle holders.
The drink glass, which I kept at minimal water and wine, also part of my inventory. But check out Homegoods, they always have great glassware.
I got this card from Homegoods and the gift box from Michaels and just added a small red bow. The sequin table cover (which I just cannot stop obsessing over) is part of my inventory. Sequin is always a great idea for a party, especially around the holidays. There is gold sequin if that is your preference, but again, my color theme was red and silver. I also added the card at each plate setting with a special message for each guest. A great extra way to make your guests feel special and appreciated.
And there you have it, not a lot of work but great visual results. The only real work was folding the napkin into the elf shoe and here is a youtube link that shows you the howto:
