Joe and Meredith's early Spring mountain rustic chic wedding in Cades Cove, Tennessee is everything picture-perfect. The moment I saw these pictures I knew I had to share them with you. Another thing I love about this, Meredith's mother planned the event, not some professional planner.
First a little about the area, Cades Cove , is an isolated valley located in the Tennessee section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, USA. A popular visitor's destination, the area is surrounded with mountains and wildlife, (2016, April 05). Retrieved from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cades_Cove). This little movie-like set church above is the Missionary Baptist Church founded in 1839 and the location for the vows. Seriously look at it, imagine leaving Sunday service surrounded by this scenic view with a chance to see one of the variety of wildlife that calls Cades Cove home, and yes don't be surprise if you see a bear passing by.
Joe and Meredith had one of the most personal weddings I’ve seen in quite while. Since the Internet age and sites like Pinterest, brides have been competing with strangers to outdo each other with bling and more bling and over the top decorations. This very intimate wedding should reminds us all what's important and that is family and starting an exciting chapter of your lives together.
Don't worry I'm not going to babble on too much longer. Here are more from Joe's and Meredith I-dos in the Smoky Mountain with their very inspirational day.
Before we go any further, let's acknowledge the GORGEOUS shots by Chelsey Williams. Such a natural talent. | You can visit her site HERE and see more of this young talent. The ring shot in the trees is awesome.
Another awesome shot | Did you peep the custom hanger? You can check out Hanger Design Center for your very own. *hint* this is a great gift for the bride-to-be.
I told ya not to be surprised if the wildlife take part of your day in the Cades Cove, Bambi just photobomb the wedding shot. | That's her good side #selfie.
A simple classic wedding bouquet made of white tulips. The old-look window. Everything just work.
The bride had her shoes dyed to match her green theme.
How flawless do these two look? | Are you thinking outdoor wedding yet? No, keep scrolling down. I promise I will have you thinking about it.
Check out these hills. A perfect postcard shot.
One of my favorite shots. | PERFECT!
Here (in my opinion) the Pièce de Résistance. This DIY hand-carved tree stump cake stand courtesy of the father of the bride is the stuff of Etsy or Pinterest. This alone makes me want to get married outdoors with a rustic theme. Two-tier green and white cake with a cute wood cake topper.
A surprise groom's cake for the football fanatic groom. The couple that have fun together, stays together.
The Barn Event Center in Tennessee | Where the guests danced the night away.
The smile on their faces surrounded by loved ones speaks volume. Sparklers, the perfect little detail to an already top-notched nuptial.
- Pick three things that are most important to you and your fiancé and keep an open mind on everything else. The 3-tier wedding cake may be a non-compromising thing, but the six dessert station can get axed out. Use your cake as the after dinner dessert.
- Keep your guests list small. The couple's guests count composed of 60 of family and close friends. No you don't need to invite everyone on your Instagram account. By the way, I'm on Instagram, go ahead and follow me, HERE.
- DIY where you can and watch the savings roll in or should I say, stay in your accounts. Visit Save on Crafts for all things woods to go with your theme.
Thanks Meredith for allowing me to share your day with my readers. All worth missing the Yellow Pages (inside joke) for.
If you still need help with your special day, it's never too late or too early to consult with a wedding planner. Wedding planning comes with enough stress as is, but having a professional there with you makes it all better to deal with. Check out this Stunning Wedding, HERE, I had the pleasure to work on.
